Thank you parents, guardians and family members!! SnapRaise was a record busting success! Our cadets raised an astounding $31,523!! This money makes a huge impact for funding our program – providing equipment, transportation, lunches for all of our extra curricular activities and make a big difference for many of our cadets to enable them to attend this year’s out of state CIA Field Trip to Washing DC. Thank you so much for your support and sharing of our campaign to make this possible. This year exceeded last by over 50% -- a tremendous achievement.
This week we have two local, in school field trips. 1st year cadets will be touring Patriot’s Point on Thursday. 2d and 3d year cadets will be touring an ice cutter at Coast Guard Station Charleson along with learning about the missions and jobs of the United States Coast Guard.
Congratulations to our Drill Team for their performance at this weekend’s Bulldog meet at The Citadel. The weather was nice, but hot! Our cadets stepped up and performed great. Many teams travel from far and wide. This meet in particular is a great opportunity to see talent from across the state and region. Well done!
Please note – there are NO Uniforms required this week due to the SnapRaise in-flight party celebrations and the half day on Wednesday.
Finally, reminder that the application window is open for Flight Academy – any cadet who will be 17 on or before 7/1/2024 is eligible to apply for a scholarship to earn their private pilot’s license during the summer of 2024. There is no military obligation for accepting this scholarship. The deadline to apply is the end of Nov – please have them see me if interested in signing up.
Reminder to turn in registration and papers, physicals, and fees
