Greetings parents,
Our AFHQJROTC Unit Inspection has been rescheduled to Monday, 7 April 2025. This is an important where cadets will each be inspected in uniform and we present our amazing events, competitions, and community service accomplishments from across the entire year. This opportunity enables our cadets to be considered for the Air Force’s highest JROTC unit award.

Scholarships and Award applications:
Cadet Brandon Jarvis-Mixer Legacy CLC Scholarships:
This scholarship honors the legacy of Cadet Jarvis-Mixer to enable at least two 1st year cadets to attend the South Carolina Cadet Leadership Course at The Citadel (2-6 June 2025). Qualified 1st year cadets may apply by completing the form at (https://forms.office.com/r/eAjAR0eWF0) AND submit a typewritten 1 page essay explaining why they want to attend CLC and what they hope to accomplish. The deadline for applications is Friday, 4 April at 1600hours.
This scholarship is open to current 1st year cadets who plan to return to AFJROTC next year, have at least 6 hours of community service, AFJROTC GPA of 85 or higher and an AFJROTC uniform grade average of 90 or higher. Parents of scholarship recipients do not need to be ARHS AFJROTC Boosters.
SC-20081/AFJROTC Booster Club & Clark Gracious Fund College Scholarships:
SC-20081/AFJROTC Booster Club at Ashley Ridge High School offers $1,000 college scholarships to AFJROTC seniors whose parents are current ARHS AFJROTC Booster members. In addition, The Clark Gracious Fund will be offering one $1,000 college scholarship to AFJROTC seniors whose parents are not current ARHS AFJROTC Booster members. To apply, applicants need to pick up an application packet from Col Wilkinson. An application package consists of the application worksheet, essay, resume and unofficial transcript, which must be turned in to SASI (Col Wilkinson) by Friday, 4 April 2025 by 1600hrs.
Air Commando Association annual national award:Cadets interested in competing for the Air Commando Association award must submit a one-page essay based on a historical AF Special Operations Mission possessing the 13 critical attributes of success: integrity, self-motivation, intelligence, self-discipline, perseverance, adaptability, maturity, judgment, selflessness, leadership, skilled, physical fitness and family strength. The award will be announced at the annual AFJROTC awards ceremony on Thursday, 8 May 2025. The deadline for applications is Friday, 4 April 2025 by 1600 hrs.
